Recipient evaluations are processed through Transplant Manitoba. in Winnipeg, Canada, where the surgery will take place.
We know this process might seem daunting and Renewal Canada can help you navigate this.

Note: You do not have to live in Canada or be a Canadian citizen to be a donor.
1. If you are interested in applying for the donation process feel free to contact us or Renewal Canada for more detailed information on how to proceed.
2. Donors must be age 18+ and be willing to freely donate.
3. Donors can be of any blood type, because there is paired donor exchange. If you don't match with Mark, you may match with someone else, and whoever matches with that person, can donate to Mark. You can help two people.
4. Donors must not have a BMI >35, cancer, diabetes, kidney or heart disease.
5. The criteria for living organ donors are different than for blood donors. If you are not eligible to donate blood, you may still be able to be a living organ donor.
Donor safety is a priority. Transplant Manitoba will not compromise the donor assessment process even if the recipient is very sick.
